Hotel Continental is located in the perfect spot for those who wish to comfortably visit Venice: it is on Canal Grande in Lista di Spagna, just before the beginning of Strada Nova, one of the city's main pedestrian streets and unquestionably the most picturesque stroll which runs between the train station and leads to Rialto.

Public transportation leaves from here and runs along all of the wonderful Canal Grande stopping near the most important monuments and museums, including Ca' Vendramin Calergi, home to Venice's Casino, Ca' D'Oro, a splendid example of 15th century architecture, the Gallerie dell'Accademia, the most important gallery in Venice and among the most important in the world, the Collezione Peggy Gugghenheim, an excellent collection of contemporary American art and then head for the Giardini, the exposition site of Biennale di Venezia and Lido, the city's beach where the Mostra Internazionale del Cinema is held each year.
For those who wish to grant themselves all comforts, the hotel has a landing on Canal Grande, where it is possible to take a water taxi.

Just steps from Hotel Continental, in the heart of the Cannaregio quarter, are some art and history gems not to be missed: Palazzo Labia, now home to Rai; Ca' Vendramin Calergi, site of Venice's casino, a splendid example of Renaissance architecture, which hosted the famous musician Richard Wagner who died here in 1883 and whose rooms have been turned into a lovely museum, of great interest for music lovers.
Ca' D'Oro, a lovely 15th century aristocratic residence, currently Galleria Franchetti, houses a wonderful collection of paintings, including the famous "Saint Sebastian" by Mantegna, and works by the greatest 16th century Venetian and Flemish painters. Palazzo Labia is a luxurious 18th century residence with a marvelous fresco cycle by Tiepolo.
Venice's Jewish Ghetto is very evocative. It is the oldest known and developed around Campo del Ghetto Novo, where the fascinating Museo Ebraico is found along with the Schole, the five synagogues of the Ghetto.

By train
The hotel is just a short walk from Venice's Santa Lucia train station. When you leave the station go left. Hotel Continental is 200 meters from here on the right on Lista di Spagna.
By plane
From Venice's "Marco Polo" airport:
- by private water taxi until the hotel's private landing;
- by the shuttle bus "Venezia Air Terminal", which will take you to Piazzale Roma. Then on foot along Fondamenta Croce and Fondamenta San Simeon Piccolo towards the train station. After Ponte degli Scalzi, turn right on Lista di Spagna, after 100 meters you will see the hotel.
· with the Alilaguna motorboat until San Zaccaria; from here with motorboat 1 or 82 to the train station and then right on Lista di Spagna for 200 meters until the hotel.
From Treviso's "San Giuseppe" airport:
with ATVO Eurobus bus to Piazzale Roma in 45 minutes. Then on foot along Fondamenta Croce and Fondamenta San Simeon Piccolo towards the train station. After Ponte degli Scalzi, turn right on Lista di Spagna, the hotel is 100 meters away.
By car
